OUR MISSION
Our mission is to share all the flavors of Balintawak Eskrima but more importantly it is to feature and share the many expressions of Balintawak. The Balintawak community is growing world-wide with many practitioners and qualified instructors. We want to feature you (the guros), your knowledge, your teaching methodologies, and your signature of Balintawak. To use an analogy from my friend, sir Scott, it’s much like boxing; it teaches 4 fundamental strikes yet Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather, and Manny Pacquiao are uniquely different. This is true for most martial arts but definitely transparent with Balintawak. Even with the many flavors of Balintawak there is an even broader spectrum of nuances from person to person and all have value. We want to share these many nuances and welcome you to build your Balintawak Library from all our great instructors.

Are you looking for a Filipino martial art (FMA) that can compliment your martial arts program? Our Balintawak Eskrima program will teach practical yet fun skills, develop hand-eye coordination and will be a great compliment to your existing program. This program can be used for your black belt club, black belts students, or your general student population. Given today's technology and the growing platforms to learn, grow, and share we have decided to start offering a turn key program for Taekwondo, Karate, JKD, Kung Fu, and other martial art programs. The Balintawak Library's "Eagles Nest Balintawak" taught and directed by Guro George Bell. Guro George is a lifetime martial artist and has extensive experience in Balintawak Eskrima, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Hapkido and is a 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo from Korea.
This program will be structured in monthly modules and advanced and tested in levels over time. There will be opportunities to just learn as a student or to become an instructor. Please inquire for detailed information and we hope to see you soon!

About Us
Cuentada, Iyahay, and understanding the left hand were a few of the major principles that were shared by Manong Sam. Having the privilege to train with and/or been trained by some grandmasters such as Manong Sam Buot, Grandmaster Bobby Taboada, Sir Bob Tabimina, Rad Maningas, Grandmaster Oliver Reitz, Master Rino Balinado, and others, George decided he wanted to offer a platform that anyone can access!
George is a lifetime martial artist with more than 46 years experience, a grandmaster in 3 martial arts, a former professional athlete, Olympic level athlete and coach. A UFC and MMA coach and defensive tactics instructor for LEO's. He was introduced to Balintawak by Grandmaster Bobby Taboada in late 1993, met Manong Sam Buot in 2004, a few years after moving to Arizona, but did not start training with Manong Sam regularly till 2014 while living in Flagstaff, AZ. George is a certified instructor under Manong Sam Buot. He trains and teaches martial arts 6 days a week and teaches Balintawak Eskrima 5 days a week. With black belt or instructor levels in Taekwondo, Hapkido, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MooSaDo, and Balintawak his main goal has been to learn, share, and grow! George hopes that the Balintawak Library can assist instructors and students world-wide and can contribute in the spread and growth of Balintawak Eskrima that the legacy of those before will never be lost or forgotten!
The Balintawak Library was founded by guro George Bell. George founded the Balintawak Library to offer a platform for instructors of all Balintawak lineages to share the many methods, concepts, drills, and techniques of Balintawak. In addition, for the many students of Balintawak world-wide to have a source to build their personal library of knowledge and be connected to our community! This way you will be able to learn from the best regardless of location. To stay true to the late great Manong Sam Buot, George wants to see Balintawak grow, expand, and share the virtues of the "Eagles Nest"and the founder, Great Grandmaster Venancio "Anciong" Bacon!
