Guro George is an educator and lifetime martial artist with more than 46 years of continuious experience, a Grandmaster in 3 martial arts, a former professional athlete, Olympic level athlete and coach. George transitioned to sharing his expertise with UFC and MMA athletes as a coach and defensive tactics instructor for LEO's in Arizona.

He was introduced to Balintawak by Grandmaster Bobby Taboada in late 1993 till 1995, met Manong Sam Buot in 2004, a few years after moving to Arizona, but did not start training with Manong Sam regularly till 2014 while living in Flagstaff, AZ. George has continuiosly taught Balintawak at his martial art facilities in Arizona and North Carolina and is a certified instructor under Manong Sam Buot. He trains and teaches martial arts 6 days a week and teaches Balintawak Eskrima 5 days a week. With black belt or instructor levels in Taekwondo, Hapkido, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Modern MooSaDo, and Balintawak his main goal has been to learn, share, and grow!

This Balintawak Instructional video will cover methods to utilize high percentage Locks, Take Downs, and Throws with breakdowns, variations, and applications. Much of what is shared in this digital download is what would commonly be called "Combat Judo", but in this video series we pull from Guro George Bell's vast experience in wrestling, judo, hapkido, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Inside and outside entering to utilize high percentage take downs: we will share the use of the; large outer reap (Osoto gari), Russian tie to Leg sweep, Russian tie to ankle pick and the armdrag to crossface takedown with options depending on the opponents counter.

This section focuses on utilizing the same high percentage entries and control techniques to engage the throws listed. These throws are the sweeping hip throw (Harai goshi), inner thigh reaping throw (Uchi mata), and corner throw (Sumi-gaeshi).
