Guro George is a lifetime martial artist with more than 47 years experience, a grandmaster in 3 martial arts, a black belt in 6 martial arts, a former professional athlete, and an Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame® inductee, 2013. George was also a UFC and MMA coach and defensive tactics instructor for LEO's. He was introduced to Balintawak by Grandmaster Bobby Taboada in late 1993, met GM Manong Sam Buot in 2004, who was George's primary mentor and teacher. George is a certified instructor under Manong Sam Buot and has had experience training with the Bacon-Buot lineage with Rad Maningas and is being taught the NECOPA Balintawak lineage with Master Rino Balinado. He trains and teaches martial arts 6 days a week. With black belt or instructor levels in Taekwondo, Hapkido, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Modern MooSaDo, and Balintawak, Guro George's main goal has been to learn, share, and grow! George hopes that the Eagle's Nest Balintawak can assist instructors and students world-wide and can contribute in the spread and growth of Balintawak Eskrima and add value to martial art programs looking to add additional curriculum to their martial arts program.
